The Retreat
The Retreat is situated on the edge of Lake Taupo, at the centre of the North Island. The small collection of cedar chalets sit at the entrance of the lake and the mighty Waikato River, and each offers accommodation for four people. The private and secure setting in several acres of lawns and gardens provides a base for enjoying a wonderful array of sporting and recreational activities.
Fish for rainbow trout from this lake edge property or watch the boating activity as the lake traffic comes and goes from the marina across the river. The large lake front lawn is ideal for a game of cricket or to practise your fly casting technique. The renowned golf courses of the Taupo region, including Wairakei International, are only a few minutes drive away. The world famous geothermal area and other sporting activities are close by. Mt. Ruapehu and its ski fields are
an hour away.
Features and Facilities:
The two storey cedar chalets comprise two double bedrooms upstairs, each with its own modern ensuite bathroom. The open plan living area, balcony, dining room and kitchen provide panoramic lake and river views. The ground floor includes a fully equipped laundry, washroom/lavatory. A hotpool house with two spa pools, plunge pool and trout smoker form part of the entertainment and recreation facilities.

$390 - $590 + gst for 4 persons
$50 pp per night extra up to 6 persons.

A Concierge service can help with your visit to The Retreat and Taupo. A first morning breakfast basket is provided. A private gourmet chef and/or catering for functions is available by prior
arrangement at an additional charge.
